Doesn’t that look good?  I think this would be something fun to put together with kids!  And maybe if they aren’t strawberry and blueberry fans, they will be after this.

Fruit can be expensive and I’ve been trying to buy more and more of it but sometimes my budget doesn’t allow it.  I love when the stores offer the Strawberries and Blueberries Buy One Get One Free and it’s really the only time I buy them, except when I shop at ALDI.  I can usually get them each time I go because they cost so much less than my other grocery store!  So putting together this cake above will cost you probably less if you purchase the ingredients at ALDI, compared to another grocery store.

Want the recipe?  It’s a little time-consuming since you are working with Ice cream but I bet it’s so worth it when it’s made.  I hope to try this one out this summer for sure!  You could also skip the ice cream cake part and use a regular cake with white frosting.

From summer must-haves like cool drinks and meats for the grill, to surprising finds like patio furniture and camping equipment, ALDI has all the essentials for an enjoyable summer, at prices up to 50 percent* less than traditional grocers. My mother loves shopping at ALDI. And not just because she lives right up the road from one which makes it very convient, but because she loves what she saves and is very happy with the products they sell. She’s made me an ALDI shopper as well but I wish I was just up the street from one too.

Smart shoppers have found that switching from national brands to ALDI exclusive brands can save them up to 50 percent* on more than 1,400 of the most commonly purchased grocery items.
